City of Kalamazoo Public Hours

City of Kalamazoo facilities will have limited hours and other precautionary measures in place to protect members of the public and City employees against COVID-19. City staff that can work remotely will continue to do so at this time. 

PPE will be available for the public if needed. Members of the public that are sick or have recently been in contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 should stay home.

The public is encouraged to use the City of Kalamazoo’s online services at www.kalamazoocity.org, contact staff via email, or request service or appointment by calling 311 (or 337-8000 from outside the city limits).


CITY HALL (241 W South St.)

The City Clerk’s Office and City Treasurer's Office will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

All other offices are available by appointment only. 


COMMUNITY PLANNING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPT (245 N. Rose St.)

Community Planning & Economic Development Offices are open Monday through Thursday by appointment only. CPED offices will be closed Fridays until further notice. 


PARKS AND RECREATION (251 Mills St.)

The Parks & Recreation office is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays by appointment.


PUBLIC SAFETY HEADQUARTERS – PUBLIC LOBBY (150 E. Crosstown Pkwy.)

Kalamazoo Public Safety Headquarters will be open to the public during the following times:

Monday - Friday:      9:00 am – 3:00 pm


PUBLIC SERVICES (415 E. Stockbridge Ave.)

Public Services offices are open Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
