The City of Kalamazoo will issue parking permits for residents when circumstances prevent the use of a parking lot or private driveway. Permits are only issued in uncommon situations that are short in duration. After your request is reviewed, you will be notified via email if you have been approved, denied, or if an alternative option is available. Fees for approved permits must be paid when the permit is picked up. The fee for a standard parking permit (one vehicle for up to seven days) is $20. $5 is assessed for each additional vehicle. Parking permits are issued for a maximum of 7 days at a time. The permit can be extended an additional 7 days if necessary.
